Today, I have two things to tell you about. The first thing is that every word has a favorite number. For example, FOUR's favorite number is 4. (It's just a coincidence that it's self-centered like that.) There's a simple rule that will tell you any word's favorite number, but that's for you to discover.
The second thing is that every word is either a Raisin word or a Prune word. You might think that raisins and prunes are very similar, but in fact, they couldn't be more different! What's more, to know if a word is a Raisin word or a Prune word, you don't need to know what the word is: you just need to know its favorite number. (For example, RAISIN's favorite number is 9, and RAISIN is a Raisin word. This means that every word whose favorite number is 9 will also be a Raisin word!)
Your goal: figure out how to tell what a word's favorite number means, and use that to figure out which words are Raisin words and which ones are Prune words!
As a bonus, can you find another number which (like FOUR) has itself as its favorite number? There are several!
Type in a word below, and I will tell you if it is a Raisin word or a Prune word.
| Raisin | Prune |
|---|---|
| RAISIN (9) | PRUNE (6) |
